DeAnne McLemore, online faculty member, joined American College of Education in spring of 2007. An educator for over 20 years, she has a great deal of experience in coaching teachers and writing curriculum. A native of Los Angeles, she consulted for the Los Angeles County Office of Education where her primary responsibility was to support existing teachers in standards based instruction and train new teachers in the best practices for student achievement. She developed a number of business partnerships to meet state approved Career Technical Education program requirements. In addition, she’s served in the capacity of a College & Career Advisor, Title I Coordinator for Reading and Math and a Job Developer for establishing school, community, and business partnerships for “at-risk” youth. Ms. McLemore received her Master’s Degree in Curriculum & Instruction and possesses a K-12 and Adult, Professional Administrative Credential. She has been honored as “Educator of the Year” by the Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce and is recognized by the California State Department of Education for her writing on an awarded “Model Practice” program. Throughout her career, Ms. McLemore has worked with diverse populations, for which she states, “truly broadened and enriched her personally and professionally”. |
