Dr. Theodorea Berry is the Assistant Chair for Curriculum and Instruction, and a full time faculty member at the American College of Education. Prior to joining us, Dr. Berry was on the faculty at North Carolina Central University and Lewis University and was an adjunct faculty with University of Illinois-Chicago, Purdue University Calumet, and National-Louis University. She is actively involved with the American Educational Research Association, the American Educational Studies Association, and the American Association for the Advancement of Curriculum Studies. Dr. Berry holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from Slippery Rock University. She completed her Master of Education in Interdisciplinary Studies in Curriculum and Instruction and her Education Specialist degree in Leadership in Curriculum and Teaching, from National-Louis University, Heidelberg Center, Germany. After returning to the United States, she earned her doctorate in Curriculum and Social Inquiry from National-Louis University in Evanston, IL. In addition, Dr. Berry completed post-doctoral studies in Curriculum Theory and Urban Teacher Education at the University of Illinois-Chicago. Theodorea hopes to assist and inspire educators and teacher educators in integrating theory and practice in the education of their students. |
